PlantPills information cards

We have started producing small cards containing basic information about PlantPills Spirulina and Chlorella tablets.

“Why are you taking all those green tablets?” – a fair and obvious question, often asked by friends and family.

“Errr… they’re good for you, look it up!” – can be the unprepared response, especially if caught off-guard.

These information cards provide an overview of both Spirulina and Chlorella, and are about the size of a credit card, ideal for keeping in purses and wallets.

They’re useful for providing information to people who want to know more, but also as a refresher for long-term users.

So keep an eye out in your next delivery – we’ve started to include a card with every order, free of charge.

Latest chlorella and spirulina COAs

Certificates of Analysis for our latest batches of Spirulina and Chlorella have just been added to the site.
These are the results of in-house testing, conducted for safety and quality assurance, and are performed on a batch-by-batch basis.

They can be found here (Spirulina) and here (Chlorella) alongside existing third party laboratory testing results.

Considering that both the producers that grow spirulina and chlorella for us are amongst the world’s oldest and largest, and produce the highest quality product that we are aware of, everything is relatively standard from batch to batch.

However, some highlights for the latest batches include a 9% increase in the chlorophyll content in PlantPills Chlorella, up to 2.95% from 2.7%. Total pheophorbide content is up 41%, at 41.19 mg% from 29.17 mg%.

Protein in PlantPills Spirulina is up about 8%, at 67.46% from 62.49%. Chlorophyll is up about 8%, at 1.57% from 1.48%, and total carotenoids is also up about 8% to 492 mg/100g, from 455 mg/100g.

PlantPills Chlorella is currently out of stock, as we have sold out before the latest batch is due to arrive. We try very hard to keep our produce in stock at all times, but sudden surges in demand, and unforeseen delays in production and logistics can cause periods where we are out of stock.

Our chlorella is due back in stock in May, at which point we are going to launch a subscription service, allowing clients to have recurring deliveries of spirulina and/or chlorella at a slight discount.
As well as the cost saving, we will ensure that we always keep enough stock aside for subscription clients, ensuring that if we do ever run out of stock, we will still be able to fulfil the orders of clients with recurring orders.

We will be able to accommodate monthly, six-weekly, quarterly and half yearly recurring orders to the UK, Europe and most countries worldwide.

If you are interested in this, please keep an eye out for the launch of this on the newsletter and blog in May 2018.

PlantPills launches Live Chat

With a growing number of studies and polls suggesting that Live Chat is the preferred method of contact for website visitors, we are delighted to announce the launch of Live Chat on PlantPills.co.uk

Don’t worry though, there are no annoying pop-ups, just a static green box at the bottom right of the page that will connect you straight to us if you have any questions.

This has been implemented in association with tawk.to, one of the leading providers of Live Chat, and works seamlessly across all devices such as dektops, laptops, tablets and phones.

In the event that we are unable to respond immediately to your chat request, we will follow up via email as soon as we possibly can.

PlantPills Wiki Site Launched

We are delighted to announce the launch of PlantPills Wiki – a Wikipedia style website optimised for mobile devices.

Our main website contains high resolution images and detailed content, often contained within tabs. This works well on desktop computers, but becomes difficult to navigate on devices such as tablets and phones.

More than 50% of page views and searches now originate from mobile devices, and with this number rising all the time, it became obvious that we required a basic version of the site that is quick to load, with the emphasis being placed on information, rather than images and design.

Wikipedia’s website has stood the test of time, and has inspired our PlantPills Wiki site with a basic, familiar format that is able to deliver detailed subjects in an intuitive, easy to read layout, regardless of the device used.

As always, please let us know if you have any questions or feedback.
